Wedding at Andaz Mayakoba, Playa del Carmen
Pame and Deepak’s multi-day celebration at Andaz Mayakoba in Playa del Carmen beautifully blended their cultures, moving from a lively beach welcome party into a vibrant traditional Hindu wedding, followed the next day by a spiritual ceremony and elegant Western reception. The weekend was filled with personal touches – from colorful processions and drummers to meaningful rituals, heartfelt readings, and unforgettable fashion moments. JM Experience Designers flawlessly orchestrated the flow of events, ensuring each celebration felt distinct yet deeply connected to the couple’s story. Published on Over the Moon.
HIGHLIGHTS
Welcome events set the tone for the weekend, beginning with a beach party filled with a Mexican buffet, a DJ, live saxophone, and dancing under the stars. Guests arrived to an atmosphere that felt relaxed, joyful, and perfectly matched to the Riviera Maya setting.
The Hindu wedding brought vibrant energy with traditional drummers, a spirited baraat, and meaningful rituals, followed by a festive reception featuring Indian cuisine and a lively dance-off. The couple honored Deepak’s heritage through color, music, and ceremony in a way that felt both personal and exuberant.
The next day’s spiritual ceremony and Western reception wove together heartfelt readings, a Mexican lazo ritual, elegant décor, and emotional speeches, ending in a night of nonstop dancing. Fashion played a major role throughout, from the bride’s striking red lehenga to her custom lace gown and chic dancing dress.
